GIST’s commitment to academic excellence is evident in its mandatory thesis quality certification, making it a top-ranked institution. It has held the first position in the number of professor citations in South Korea for 14 consecutive years and is ranked fourth in the QS World University Ranking.

Additionally, students receive a monthly stipend, meal allowance, and an international student allowance, all designed to ease their financial burdens and allow them to focus on their studies.
To encourage participation in research projects, GIST offers research assistantships to both Master’s and PhD students. This not only enhances their practical skills but also contributes to the development of science and technology on a global scale.
