Forbes is now accepting nominations for the Class of 2024. Submit an online nomination by November 30, 2023!
Forbes has been putting together its annual 30 Under 30 Asia list for 8 years now, spotlighting innovators, stars and young leaders across 10 industries.
Since its inception in 2016, the list has featured remarkable entrepreneurs including unicorn founders like Oyo’s Ritesh Agarwal, Canva’s Melanie Perkins, Airwallex’s Lucy Liu, Carousell’s Siu Rui Quek and Traveloka’s Ferry Unardi. Some of Asia’s biggest superstars like K-pop bands BTS and BlackPink, Jackson Wang, Win Metawin and Naomi Osaka are also among the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia alumni.
If someone has what it takes to be on the list – or if someone thinks that they do – Forbes is now accepting nominations for the Class of 2024. Submit an online nomination by November 30, 2023.
The 30 Under 30 Asia list consists of 10 categories and we are looking for 30 entries in each category. They are: Finance & Venture Capital; Consumer Technology; Enterprise Technology; Industry, Manufacturing & Energy; Media, Marketing & Advertising; Retail & E-commerce; Healthcare & Science; Social Impact; The Arts (Art & Style and Food & Drink); and Entertainment & Sports.
Selection Process: First, the Forbes Asia reporters and editors will go through each and every submitted nomination and solicit additional nominations from Under 30 alumni, academics, VCs, trusted sources and industry insiders. From there, they shortlist the promising candidates and send the list to the panel of judges who are industry experts (judges in the past included Mickey Mikitani, Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Michelle Yeoh, Jenny Lee, Nisa Leung and more). After the judges send back their feedback – and further fact-checking and due diligence work done from their end – Forbes selects the final 300 listers who will be notified once the list gets published in March 2024. They do not notify the winners before that or send any updates throughout the process.
There are no strict metrics when it comes to selecting the finalists (minimum revenue, funding, etc.) — overall Forbes looks at each nomination and evaluate based on impact, innovation, disruption, potential, and other attributes that stand out and make the individual or the venture worth highlighting. They also consider factors including funding, revenue and scale where relevant. The most important thing to remember is that submitting this form will be the first step in the nomination process, so fill it only once for each nomination and to the candidate’s best ability.

OnlineBenefits
Making the Forbes 30 under 30 list will give the nominees the following benefits:
- Networking Opportunities
- Increased personal brand recognition
- Increased opportunities in domestic and worldwide markets
Eligibilities
- To qualify for the 2024 list, the nominee must be under 30 by December 31, 2023 (born on or after January 1, 1994).
- The Asia list covers the entire Asia-Pacific region including Australia, New Zealand and the rest of Oceania, and excluding the Middle East.
- All those residing in the region and whose business and impact are mainly in these countries/territories are eligible, regardless of their country of origin or citizenship.
- Since repeats are not included, those who previously made any of the regional Forbes 30 Under 30 lists (North America, Asia, Europe) will not be considered again.
- If a company has more than one founder, Forbes consider all those cofounders who are under 30 as a joint nomination. Make sure to include all those cofounders under 30 in the relevant slot on the form. If only one cofounder is under 30, Forbes will still consider them as a solo nomination.
Application Process
- To source candidates for the list, Forbes writers and editors comb through thousands of online submissions, as well as tap industry sources and list alumni for recommendations. Candidates are evaluated by Forbes staff and a panel of independent, expert judges on a variety of factors, including (but not limited to) funding, revenue, social impact, scale, inventiveness and potential.
- Forbes considers all candidates equally regardless of who nominated them.
- The most important thing to remember is to provide as much information in the form to help them evaluate their entry including concrete details (numbers, backers, impact, etc…).
- Also they do not consider volume or amount of nominations in their final decision, so submitting one form is enough.
- There are no strict metrics when it comes to selecting the finalists (minimum revenue, funding, etc.) — overall Forbes looks at each nomination and evaluate based on impact, innovation, disruption, potential, and other attributes that stand out and make the individual or the venture worth highlighting.
- They also consider factors including funding, revenue and scale where relevant.
- The most important thing to remember is that submitting this form will be the first step in the nomination process, so fill it only once for each nomination and to the candidate’s best ability.
- Forbes will be following up when necessary.
