The Center for Cyber Safety and Education calls for Women’s Cybersecurity Scholarships 2023. They want women all over the world(Except USA) who pursue or plan to pursue a degree with a focus on cybersecurity to apply for the scholarship. Up to ten scholarships will be awarded for this program.
Applicants will be scored by members of (ISC)² and scholarship sponsors (if applicable). Scoring will be based upon three
categories:
1. Passion
2. Merit
3. Financial Need
Not all applicants will receive a scholarship. Scholarships are a one-time award and must be re-applied for each year in order to be considered for another scholarship. All scholarships are administered by the Center for Cyber Safety and Education.
The Center for Cyber Safety and Education (Center), formerly (ISC)² Foundation, is a non-profit charitable trust committed to making the cyber world a safer place for everyone. The Center breaks down barriers in exposure and access to the cyber profession and provides opportunities for individuals, groups, and organizations with the most need to benefit from (ISC)2’s commitment to the profession. The Center is the charitable foundation of (ISC)². (ISC)² is an international nonprofit membership association focused on inspiring a safe and secure cyber world. Best known for the acclaimed Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification, (ISC)² offers a portfolio of credentials that are part of a holistic, programmatic approach to security.
Their vision is a safe and secure cyber world. Their mission is to grow the cybersecurity profession and its positive impact on the world by raising awareness, building a diverse pipeline of cybersecurity professionals and activating a more secure digital world.
(ISC)² and its Center for Cyber Safety and Education are deeply committed to encouraging and supporting students pursuing a degree with a focus on cybersecurity, information assurance, or similar field. The scholarships, sponsored by (ISC)², support students globally. Efforts like these can put students on a pathway to long term career success in a rewarding and critically-important field.
The scholarships are part of an effort to bridge the cybersecurity workforce gap—which stands at 2.72 million needed professionals—by providing future cybersecurity professionals across the globe with scholarships to prepare them for a rewarding career in this important field.
Benefits
- Up to ten scholarships will be awarded. Each scholarship award will be between $1,000 – $5,000
- If awarded: the funds will be sent to the school with instructions that it be applied to tuition, fees and books. Recipients do NOT recieve award funds.
- Awards do not renew. You will need to reapply each year in order to be considered for another award.
Eligibilities
- Must be pursuing, or plan to pursue, a degree with a focus on cybersecurity, information assurance or similar field in the fall of 2023.
- Must be pursuing an associates, undergraduate, graduate, or post graduate degree in 2023.
- GPA must be at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or an analogous rank based on a comparable scale).
- You may be a citizen of any country (US citizenship not required).
- May be attending on campus or online.
- May be attending full time or part time
- May be attending in the US or Internationally
- You do not currently need to be enrolled, however no awards will be disbursed until the recipient is enrolled in a college or university.

Application Process
- Unofficial transcripts from your current (or most recent) educational institution. If awarded; no funds will be disbursed until official transcripts have been received.
- One Letter of Recommendation outlining the following:
- How long have you known the applicant and in what capacity?
- What skills or abilities does the applicant have that will support him/her in completing a degree?
- What other information about the applicant should be taken into consideration?
NOTE: Academic references are preferred; however, you may submit a professional letter of reference addressing the points above. - Resume/CV – No more than 3 pages maximum. Do not include links to publications.
- Essay questions to be filled out in application:
Tell them why you should be chosen to receive this women’s cybersecurity scholarship and what makes you stand out from your peers?
Describe why you need the scholarship.
Describe your personal and education backgrounds. - What – or who – inspired you to pursue a career in cybersecurity? What makes you a candidate for success in information security and what are your goals for your professional career.
- When you graduate and secure a career in their industry, what steps can you take to “pay it forward” by supporting other women (currently in school, recent graduates, mid career transition) new to their field?
- Describe any contributions to the cybersecurity field i.e., volunteer work, articles, etc., and any other hobbies or extracurricular activities and what they mean to you. (Do not include links to articles).
