Eligibilities

Before you submit your nomination, here are a few things to consider:

  • Age cut-off:
    To qualify for the 2021 list, the nominee must be under 30 by December 31, 2020 (born on or after January 1, 1991).
  • Eligible countries and regions:
    The 30 Under 30 Asia list covers the entire Asia-Pacific region including Australia, New Zealand and the rest of Oceania, and excluding the Middle East. All those residing in the region and whose business and impact are mainly in these countries are eligible, regardless of their country of origin or citizenship. Since we do not include repeats, those who previously made any of the Forbes 30 Under 30 lists are not eligible to be nominated again.
  • Categories:
    The Asia list covers 10 categories in total. These are

    • Finance & Venture Capital;
    • Consumer Technology;
    • Enterprise Technology;
    • Industry, Manufacturing & Energy;
    • Media, Marketing & Advertising;
    • Retail & E-commerce;
    • Healthcare & Science;
    • Social Entrepreneurs;
    • The Arts (Art & Style and Food & Drink);
    • and Entertainment & Sports.
      If you’re not sure which category to choose, pick the most relevant one and our editors will review it and make changes if necessary.
  • Cofounders:
    If a company has more than one founder, we consider all those cofounders who are under 30 as a joint nomination. Make sure to include all those cofounders under 30 in the relevant slot on the form. If only one cofounder is under 30, we will still consider him/her as a solo nomination.
Eligible Regions: Asia-Pacific region including Australia, New Zealand and the rest of Oceania, and excluding the Middle East.

Application Process

  • Selection process:

Once you submit the online nomination, a member of our team will review it and if it gets shortlisted, they will reach out to their sources and the person who nominated you for more information and fact-checking. If it still looks good, we will hand it over to our panel of respected judges in each category to do the final vetting.

There are no strict metrics when it comes to selecting the finalists (revenue, funding, etc.) — overall we look at each nomination and evaluate based on impact, innovation and other attributes that stand out and make the individual or the venture worth highlighting.

The most important thing to remember is that submitting this form will be the first step in the nomination process, so fill it only once for each nomination and to your best ability. We will be following up when necessary.
