- UTRIP participants will receive financial support through the GSS-UTRIP Scholarship or the FUTI Award (Friends of UTokyo, Inc.)
- Financial support extended through the FUTI Award, is specifically applicable to students currently enrolled in U.S. universities, irrespective of their citizenship.
- As part of the GSS-UTRIP Scholarship, interns will receive complimentary housing for the entire duration of their stay, including a total of 43 nights.
- However, recipients of the FUTI Award cannot simultaneously receive a GSS-UTRIP Scholarship.

Eligibilities
- International students from all around the world are eligible to apply for the University of Tokyo Summer Internship.
- However, the internship opportunity is available to students currently in their second year or beyond at a recognized college or university outside of Japan.
- All applicants must have completed a full year in a Bachelor’s degree program at the time of application.
- Priority in selection is given to applicants anticipated to be in their third year of a four-year Bachelor’s program or in their second year of a three-year Bachelor’s program. Second-year students in four-year programs are also encouraged to apply.
