The Fellowships offer researchers opportunities to engage with sectors beyond academia, including creative and cultural industries, public, private, and policy sectors. By embedding researchers in institutions like the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) in Berlin, the program supports knowledge mobilization and translation, individual skill development, and the creation of innovative solutions to complex policy challenges.

Through this partnership, fellowship holders benefit from fresh perspectives and expanded networks, fostering mutually beneficial relationships between academia and policy sectors. This collaboration enables researchers to develop new approaches to pressing foreign policy concerns and contributes to addressing global instability with practical, action-oriented research.

This is the second call for the program, building on the success of the first round, and continues to provide valuable opportunities for UK researchers to strengthen and create new policy-academic links, translating their expertise into real-world impact.
