The Blue Peace Middle East Youth Fellowship Programme (YFP) is a transformative activity empowering young leaders from Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Türkiye, Iran and Syria to address water-related challenges through cooperation and innovation. The programme is fully funded, offering a unique blend of academic learning, cultural immersion, and practical engagement, focusing on transboundary water cooperation and the Water- Energy- Food- Ecosystem: WEFE Nexus.
Six fellows from Blue Peace ME countries will engage in field visits, mentorship with leading experts, and collaborative projects. The fellowship combines online learning, in-person training, and real-world negotiation simulations. Upon completion, the programme’s Alumni will serve as Blue Peace ME Youth Ambassadors, equipped to drive impactful regional change.

Eligibilities
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of one of the Blue Peace ME countries (Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Türkiye).
- Age & Gender: Open to both males and females, with applicants up to and including the age of 30.
- Education & Experience: Open to early-career professionals, researchers and graduate students in fields like Political Science, International Relations, Water Governance, Law, Environmental Science, Engineering, Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem Nexus, Economics, or any related field.
- Experience in water-related projects, advocacy, or policy is a plus.
- Language Proficiency: Strong command of English is required, as all activities and discussions will be conducted in English, with the ability to communicate and present ideas.
- Interest & Motivation: Must show a strong interest in transboundary water cooperation and the WEFE Nexus approach.
- Previous engagement in regional or international discussions on sustainability or cooperation is an advantage.
- Leadership & Teamwork:
- Motivated and able to work effectively in diverse, cross-cultural teams.
- Demonstrates leadership potential through achievements in education, work, or other activities.
