Global Science Course (GSC) is an undergraduate transfer program that was designed to enhance cross-cultural interactions among young minds and foster the next generation of leaders in science. Students study alongside current UTokyo students in an all-English and research-focused academic environment, which includes rotations in world-renowned laboratories. Successful applicants to this program are also provided a monthly scholarship as well as fully supported accommodation. Global Science Course (GSC) Undergraduate Transfer Program will be automatically offered the “School of Science Scholarship for Transfer Students”. Under this scholarship, the School of Science will provide 150,000 Japanese Yen every month for up to two consecutive years, which aims to help students pay for their annual tuition fees and support their living expenses. Students will also receive fully supported housing.
Eligibilities
- Successfully completed or will be completing their first two years of studies in a comparable undergraduate program at an accredited higher educational institution before enrolling into GSC
- Received secondary and tertiary education outside of Japan
- English proficiency
