Over the last 15 years, Smithsonian has been organizing annual photo contests. The spectacular, unique and breathtaking images captured by photographers have fascinated them very much. This year the winners will be selected by online vote and will be announced on their website in spring 2019.

Eligibilities
- You may enter up to 15 photographs in each category for a total contest submission of 90 photographs
- High-quality scanned images of non-digital photographs are accepted
- Photographs that were taken before January 1, 2016 are not eligible
- Cropped photographs are eligible in all categories
- Photographs taken on film does not having slide or negative cannot be accepted unless high-resolution digital scan
