Unloc is a leading education non profit founded in 2013 by award-winning young leaders and advocates Hayden Taylor and Ben Dowling. They help schools, colleges and organisations inspire and empower young people to be changemakers through bespoke and innovative programmes in entrepreneurship, leadership, career pathways and student voice. They work towards their mission by delivering inspiring educational programmes in their growing network of schools and colleges.
Their mission is to empower young people to be innovative changemakers who seek to build stronger communities and sustainable businesses. We develop young people’s skills, enhance their potential and boost their determination to succeed.
They work with schools and colleges to create a multi-phase Changemaker strategy that includes a variety of Unloc programmes throughout the school or college journey. Our programmes are focused on developing:

- 10 Micro Grants of £1000 for young people in Northern Ireland to test or develop their own business or community project that advances on one of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Eligibilities
- You must be aged 14 – 25
- Have permanent residency in Northern Ireland
- Have an idea for a community project, campaign, business or social enterprise that advances on one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals
- Be available to attend the 2 day immersive, leadership bootcamp in February in Belfast (Date TBC). Food, refreshment & travel costs will be covered, plus accommodation for those not living in Belfast will also be covered.
