Feature Shoot’s The Annual Emerging Photography Awards are back with their 7th edition and you could have your work is seen by thousands of collectors, industry leaders, art buyers, and press from around the world as well as exhibited at prestigious galleries in Europe and on the streets of New York City and Los Angeles. Over the last 6 years, it has helped launch the careers of dozens of photographers through The Emerging Photography Awards and excited to announce that their annual international photography competition for up-and-coming photographers is back. The competition has judges from TIME, Rolling Stone, Wired, National Geographic, The Guardian, and many others ready to see your work. The main objective of the Emerging Photography Awards is to get the work of talented photographers seen globally, so they’re particularly excited about the exhibition opportunities this year as they will be viewed by hundreds of thousands of people.

Categories: To that end, this year Feature Shoot’s Annual Emerging Photography Awards have two categories open, so it’s not only two different prizes on offer to the winning photographers, but two unique opportunities to submit different types of work!
- Single image entries
- Series entries
SINGLE IMAGE CATEGORY: The single image category is thematic and the theme for entries into the Single Image Category of the Emerging Photography Awards is: Show us Today’s World Through your Lens! You can enter one image or up to 10 single images. You can submit your best photos that reflect the theme. Singles entry fees:
- 1x image for US$15
- 3x images for US$25
- 5x images for US$30
- 10x images for US$50
SERIES IMAGES CATEGORY: Photographers are invited to enter multiple photos in a series for consideration. You can enter up to 5 images for each series submission and there is no theme requirement for series entries. Series entry fees:
- 1x series for US$45
- 2x series for US$60
- 3x series for US$70

- 30 winning photographers will be exhibited as part of a week long street exhibition in New York City
- An additional 30 winning photographers will be exhibited in a street exhibition in Los Angeles.

- Receive press coverage and the opportunity to be published on Feature Shoot and their social channels reaching around 500,000 people! - 12 winning photographers will be exhibited as part of a group show at Berlin’s world-renowned BBA Gallery.
- The same 12 winning photographers will also be exhibited as part of a group show at the prestigious Studio Galerie B&B in Paris
- Be published in Feature Shoot’s Emerging Photographers photo book
- Receive press coverage and the opportunity to be published on Feature Shoot and their social channels reaching around 500,000 people! Previous winners have been featured in and on Lens Culture, Wired, Republic, Society, Gente di Fotografia, Indie, Marie Claire, Fotograf, Huck, Calvert Journal, Bird in Flight, and Musee Magazine, amongst others.
Eligibilities
- All photographers not currently represented by a gallery or photographers’ agent are invited to apply. They accept entries from photographers of all ages and backgrounds working across all genres including (but not limited to): fine art, landscape, documentary, portraits, fashion and still life.
- Entries are open until midnight EST August 31st, 2021. Winners will be announced in mid-late September.
- Entry fees for Single Image Contest: 1x image for US$15; 3x images for US$25; 5x images for US$30;10x images for US$50
- Entry fees for Series Image Contest: 1 series (5 images max. per series) US$45; 2 series’s (5 images max. per series) US$60; 3 series’s (5 images max. per series) US$70.

SINGLE IMAGE SUBMISSION: Submitting to the Feature Shoot Emerging Photography Awards is easy and should take less than 3 minutes. Please make sure you have the following ready:
- 1, 3, 5 or 10 images from any genre of photography
- Size: at least 760 pixels wide (JPEG or TIFF format)
- A brief bio and description about the work you’re submitting
- The single image category is thematic and the theme for entries into the Single Image Category of the Emerging Photography Awards is: Show us Today’s World Through your Lens!
