Call for articles by journalists for the 2024 Developing Asia Journalism Awards (DAJA)! The Developing Asia Journalism Awards (DAJA), an initiative to honour journalism that truthfully reports on international initiatives for sustainable development amid escalating climate dangers, is being revived by ADBI with sponsorship from The Rockefeller Foundation. Leading the inaugural launch of the Awards in 2004 was former ADBI Dean Peter McCawley.

From 31 members at its establishment in 1966, ADB has grown to encompass 68 members—of which 49 are from within Asia and the Pacific and 19 outside. Reporters in the area are now able to apply to write pieces about climate change. They ought to talk about one of the three climate change-related subjects listed below.
- Food security
- Health preparedness and resilience
- Macrofinancial stability
The journalist—or principal author in the case of a collaboration between several journalists—must be a national of an Asian Development Bank member nation. Only text articles authored by journalists in the English language are accepted by DAJA. Articles must have appeared in a regularly published newspaper, magazine, wire service, or news website between January 1, 2023, and February 29, 2024, in order to be eligible for consideration.

The winners of up to four chosen pieces will be invited to a ceremony in Tokyo in May where they will be presented with a diploma and a cash prize. A single representative from each piece created by numerous journalists would be qualified to attend the Tokyo ceremony. The DAJA selection committee, ADBI researchers, and ADBI Dean Tetsushi Sonobe will be present at the Tokyo ceremony to talk about the chosen publications and associated local issues. The successful applicants will be notified in late April.

If the article was produced by multiple journalists, one representative per article would be eligible to participate in the Tokyo ceremony. - DAJA only accepts text-format articles written in English and by journalists.
- To be eligible for consideration, articles must have appeared in a regularly published newspaper, magazine, wire service, or news site during the period 1 January 2023–29 February 2024.
