Fundamentals of MUN: An online course conducted by Dhaka University Model United Nations Association.

Like most of the countries around the world, Bangladesh has introduced a lock-down policy to ensure social distancing, self-isolation, or quarantine, and as part of efforts to reduce the number of people infected with COVID-19. WHO reports that 84,379 thousand confirmed cases (till June 15) have been reported. The Coronavirus pandemic has disrupted our normal lives alongside the economy, education, and health sectors. In light of rising concern about the current COVID-19 pandemic, all the schools, colleges, and universities have either postponed or canceled all the activities. Moreover, 40 million enrolled children are staying at home due to the schools being closed. It has also caused a tremendous level of stress among the students which may lead to an unfavourable effect on the learning and psychological health of students.

Nevertheless, we believe we could overcome our mental stress by keeping in touch with our loved ones and keeping ourselves busy boosting up our self-skills through different media and through technological resources.

Therefore, for the first time, Dhaka University Model United Nations Association is hosting an online MUN course, Fundamentals of MUN, aimed to introduce talented minds to the concept of MUN. The classes will be conducted via Facebook live and at the end of the course, you will be given an assessment to wrap it up.
