Vacancy Announcement for Instructors at Asian University for Women 2019
The Asian University for Women (AUW) is a liberal arts institution and home to international faculty and over 800 students from 16 Asian countries. They seeks to appoint Instructors to teach World Civilizations, Language & Composition, and Leadership to students in the Access Academy of AUW. Access Academy is an intensive, yearlong, pre-undergraduate program. Access students embark on a journey that prepares them for admission to a rigorous, American-style liberal arts undergraduate curriculum, with a focus on scholarship, service, and leadership.
The main focus of the academic curriculum is to foster English communication skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and develop strategies for life-long learning. Access Academy courses build students’ skills in core competencies such as academic English (reading, writing, listening, and speaking), world history and geography, and mathematics.
About Asian University for Women Support Foundation:
The Asian University for Women ultimately seeks to empower its students by opening doors to new international opportunities. It aims to graduate students who will pursue paths as skilled and innovative individuals and professionals, service-oriented leaders, and promoters of tolerance and understanding throughout the world. The AUW Support Foundation, a 501(c)(3)-registered nonprofit organization based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is the principal source of funding mobilization for the Asian University for Women in Chittagong, Bangladesh.
