Job Description
Communications Coordinator is responsible for producing contents for grant reports, writing student profiles for funding proposals, producing a monthly e-newsletter, maintaining websites and social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube), writing media releases, and any other communications related works. The Communications Coordinator will play a key role identifying compelling stories and packaging them into content or media pieces that can be used by the AUW Support Foundation. This position is based at the Asian University for Women in Chittagong, Bangladesh and values flexibility to work on different projects. Relocation assistance to Chittagong will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Work with AUW Support Foundation in Cambridge, Massachusetts (USA) to provide content and stories to support fundraising activities
- Create content in various formats (student profiles, media articles, press releases, short videos, social media posts, etc.)
- Producing a monthly e-newsletter
- Maintain and manage websites and social media presence
- Build and maintain a strong media outreach program in the region

Eligibilities
- A Bachelor’s degree
- Previous experience in a communications role
- at least 3 years of work experience
- A proven track record in media relations
- knowledge of relevant media channels
- ability to optimize social media
- impeccable English-language writing ability
- experience as a journalist, media consultant, or in fundraising preferred
