With the determination to encourage young learners and inventors in eternal science related activities, MGHS Science Club is proudly representing the most awaited and this year’s most exciting glorious event “Inter School and College Science Festival” on the permission of Mohammadpur Govt. High School for the first time with a lot of new events and exciting programs. We hope to break all the previous science festivals records and host this year’s most interesting enthusiasts gathering of science from all over the city of Dhaka. We believe this open platform will provide proper spur and inspiration to all the attending enthusiasts for their pursuit of scientific knowledge. Besides MGHS Science Club will launch two new special events for the science enthusiast.

SCIENCE BASED PROJECT DISPLAY:
There will be three groups in this competition:
– Junior (Class VI-VIII)
– Senior (Class IX-X)
– College (Class XI-XII)
a) Each project can have maximum 3 members.
b) The members of a project must be of the same institution.
c) Project members are bound to be present in the venue with their project at least half an hour before the reporting time according to the schedule.
d) The 3 categories on which the projects will be judged are:
* Mechanical
* Non-mechanical
* IT
e) the projects will be divided into 3 categories:
– junior (Class VI-VIII)
– Senior (Class IX-X)
– College (Class XI-XII)
f) Participants must bring all necessary electronic equipment (multi-plugs, laptops etc.). The organizers will not provide these equipment.
g) Participants are bound to follow any decision made by the authority of MGHS Science Club during the competition.
g) There will be no spot registration.
WALL MAGAZINE DISPLAY:
There will be three groups in this competition.
– Junior (Class VI-VIII)
– Senior (Class IX-X)
– College (Class XI-XII)
Rules:
– This will be a team based event. Teams may be composed of no less than 2 members and no more than 3 members each.
– The subject will have to be science based.
– Minimum size: 3 feet X 2 feet.
SCRAPBOOK DISPLAY:
There will be three groups in this competition.
– Junior (Class VI-VIII)
– Senior (Class IX-X)
– College (Class XI-XII)
Rules:
– The subject will have to be science based.
– This will be an individual event.
TEAM BASED QUIZ:
There will be two groups in this competition.
– Senior (Class IX-X)
– College (Class XI-XII)
Rules-
– Spot registration will be available for all the team based quizzes.
– Each institution can send as many teams as they like.
– Each team must consist of 3 individuals from the same institution.
– The competition will be held in two rounds –
i) Written Test
ii) Final Round
– The top six scoring teams in the Written Test will move on to the Final Round.
SOLO QUIZ:
There will be two groups in this competition.
– Senior (Class IX-X)
– College (Class XI-XII)
Details:
– Spot registration will be available for the solo quiz.
– The competition will be a written exam.
Extempore Speech:
Extempore is a speech that is given on the spot with a little preparation. It is a test of your knowledge about a topic as well as your ability to express yourself in good words in a framed manner within a limited time.
Details:
– Spot registration will be available for Extempore Speech.
-There will be no registration fees.
-The participants will have 3 minutes to prepare their speech and 5 minutes to deliver it.
OLYMPIADS:
There will be three groups in this competition.
– Junior (Class VI-VIII)
– Senior (Class IX-X)
– College (Class XI-XII)
Rules:
– Spot registration will be available for all the Olympiads.
– Each institution can send as many participants as they like.
– Participants must bring their own equipment.
– Participants must bring their ID cards. Otherwise they will be not allowed to participate.
– Calculators are not allowed in Math Olympiad.
– Cell phones will have to be switched off during the Olympiads.
– Answer papers will be provided by us on every Olympiads.
IQ TEST:
There will be three groups in this competition.
– Junior (Class VI-VIII)
– Senior (Class IX-X)
– College (Class XI-XII)
Rules:
– Spot registration will be available for the IQ test.
– Cell phones will have to be switched off in the examination hall.
– Participants must bring their own equipment.
– Answer papers will be provided by us.
SUDOKU:
There will be three groups in this competition.
– Junior (Class VI-VIII)
– Senior (Class IX-X)
– College (Class XI-XII)
Rules:
– Spot registration will be available for the Sudoku contest.
– Cell phones will have to be switched off in the examination hall.
– Participants will have to bring their own equipment.
RUBIK’S CUBE COMPETITION:
There will be two groups in this competition.
– School (Class VI-X)
– College (Class XI-XII)
Rules:
– Spot registration will be available.
– Participants will have to bring their own cubes.
– Time will be given for inspection.
– There will be 2 or more rounds depending on the number of participants.
– If someone’s cube gets broken, he/she will be disqualified automati
Blindfolded Rubik’s Cube Competition
There will be two groups in this competition.
– School (Class VI-X)
– College (Class XI-XII)
Rules:
– Spot registration will be available.
– Participants will have to bring their own cubes.
– Time will be counted for inspection and solving simultaneously.
– There will be 2 or more rounds depending on the number of participants.
– If someone’s cube gets broken, he/she will be disqualified automatically.
– If someone drops eye folded goggles, he/she will be disqualified automatically
SCIENCE FICTION STORY WRITING:
There will be three groups in this competition.
– Junior (Class VI-VIII)
– Senior (Class IX-X)
– College (Class XI-XII)
Rules:
– Spot registration will be available.
– An intro will be given; participants will have to complete the story using their own imagination.
– Cell phones will have to be switched off in the examination hall.
– No vulgar/ abusive words can be used.
– Stories will have to be unique. Copying plot from existing works of science fiction will not be acceptable.
– The participants cannot carry any books in the examination hall.
Live Project/Live Problem Solving:
This is a science based competition. Here we will provide a limited resource to each team. We will give them a problem which the teams have to solve with the help of the resources. The team which will solve the problem within the limited time will be the champion of this competition.

– Team members can be form different institution but cannot be from different categories
PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION:
There will be two categories

2) Mobile Photography Exhibition (MP)

Rules and regulations for submission photographs :
• Only online entries will be accepted. No print submissions will be accepted for entry into the Photography Exhibition.
• Photos must be either Color or Black & White.
• Over manipulated photographs is strictly prohibited.
• Each participant can submit maximum 5 Photographs.
• There will be no fees necessary for submitting photos but participants have to pay a registration fee of BDT 400 for EACH of his/her selected Photographs for DSLR and BDT 300 for Mobile Photography .
• All submissions are final. Further changes will not be allowed.
• The photograph must be the sole work/ownership of the participant. By entering the event, the participant confirms that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any other person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, and claim in the photograph.
Submission Guidelines:
• Rename the photograph name in the following manner:
Your full name_Your Institution name_Group_categorie_Submission Number_Caption_Phone Number.

• The file must be in .jpeg or .jpg format.
• The file must contain at least 3000 pixels in width.
• Minimal digital manipulation (i.e. only manipulations such as color enhancement, cropping) is allowed. However, adding or removing key elements of the composition may NOT be accepted for judging. HDR photos will NOT be accepted for judging.
• Photographs with copyright/ watermark stamp/ logo will NOT be accepted.
• Selected participants will have to pay their registration fees by bKash or Rocket for the selected Photo. The account number will be notified after the result.
