WFP is looking for Programme Assistant (Social Cohesion) 2021 in Cox’s Bazar.
Under the direct supervision of the Lead for Social Cohesion and Conflict Analysis and the overall supervision of the Head of MEAL Unit, the incumbent will support assessments, engagement with programme units towards streamlining social cohesion and conflict sensitivity aspects across WFP’s functionalities.
Responsibilies:
- Provide technical guidance on regular assessments, workshops and programme designing around social cohesion and conflict sensitivity.
- Support in developing tailored operating procedures to mainstream conflict sensitivity and social cohesion into WFP programmes, monitoring frameworks and work plans pertaining to WFP overall activities in Cox’s Bazar.
- Identify opportunities to adapt programme/operations to enhance conflict sensitivity and explore new programme designs, taking social cohesion outcomes into account.
- Explore opportunities with knowledge partners to enhance capacity strengthening of internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with M&E team on implementation of the communications with community activity.
- Support engagement with local actors and facilitate community consultations in the refugee camps and host community.
- Establish and maintain stronger linkages with protection, gender and environmental safeguards team to ensure regular mainstreaming of conflict sensitivity concerns.
- Ensure documentation and dissemination of good practices and lessons learnt on conflict sensitivity, social cohesion and the triple nexus, and monitoring on these, in close coordination with the KIM and relevant teams as well as the country office.
