Job Responsibilities:
- Working at project location – In this role, you will provide on-site support in the project location and/or VSO office, (full-time unless otherwise specified) for a set period of time.
- This is a national volunteer role responsible for psychosocial support (providing individual, family and group counselling and referring them for specialized care).
- Providing supports to the service user, facilitate mass sensitization and training, conduct community level psychosocial orientation and stigma programs in the community.

Eligibilities
- University Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., clinical or counselling psychology, clinical social work, Psychiatry, mental health care etc.).
- At least 2 years’ experience working on an MHPSS programme in the areas of psychosocial support, humanitarian response or community development, gender/GBV and social work.
- Training and experienced at least 2 years of working with adolescent and youth mental health, including suicide prevention.
- Prior experience of helpline counselling preferrable.
- A sound understanding of National policy on social protection and GBV.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Empathy and sensitivity when dealing with patients.
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a counsellor.
- Ability to work in difficult environment under very basic living conditions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of sexual and reproductive health issues and/or protection issues in humanitarian settings.
- A good command of verbal and written English.
- Resilience, flexibility, adaptability when faced with problems, obstacles, and frustrating circumstances
- Sensitivity to cultural differences and able to interact with people at all levels of the organization.
