Upwork is looking for TIP: Customer Advocacy Coordinator – Data Management 2021
This job is a Contract position through Upwork’s Talent Innovation Program (TIP). The TIP team is a global group of professionals that augment Upwork’s business. The TIP team members are located all over the world.
Work Responsibilities:
- Owning the records migration project and support the data integrity plan through data entry, cleansing and management
- Assisting with the new customer reference database implementation, integration and rollout
- Quarterly program reporting, to include:
- Requests and fulfillment from cross-functional team members
- Customer logos
- New customer assets
- Advocate activity, usage and wins
- Support maintenance and upkeep of advocacy dashboard tool, RO Innovation
- You will work with the team to obtain and analyze key data that will help identify a network of customers who will serve as advocates for Upwork and flexible models of work to share their success stories and best practices through our marketing and sales organizations.
- You will be instrumental in helping run critical foundational aspects of the program and will become an expert and the day-to-day owner of our new customer advocacy database system, RO Innovation.
- You will help us lead the transfer of our current data into the new system and set up the system before we launch it across the company. Upon system launch, you will help train teams on how to use RO Innovation and be a key contact for any questions.

Necessary Requirements:
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- A customer steward mindset and mentality
- Detail oriented with strong data management and analysis skills
- Team player who can work effectively and efficiently with cross-functional stakeholders, while managing through competing priorities
- A sense of urgency and the ability to be flexible and react quickly while maintaining a calm, reassuring demeanor
- Understand the critical importance of keeping accurate records as part of customer relationship management and be able to pull and analyze data regularly to share insights with the team
- The right candidate will enjoy digging into customers’ details and Upwork usage to get to the heart of their successes of how they are unlocking new ways of working and capturing that information so that it can be leveraged across the business
- He/She has a passion for uncovering and identifying customers as great potential advocates and be able to determine what customer information is most relevant to their identification as an advocate and capture details appropriately
- Experience working within a customer reference/advocacy database tool; preference for RO Innovation
- We’re looking for an organized, collaborative and customer-centric professional with strong data management experience to help support our growing customer advocacy function.
