UNV is hiring Programme Support Officer 2020 in Dhaka.
Under The Direct Supervision Of The Head Of RCO, Or Nominee, The National UN Volunteer Is Expected To Perform The Following Tasks:
- Provide administrative assistance to the UN interagency support team for COVID-19 response;
- Assist in the monitoring of the COVID-19 response in order to bridge the gaps in coordination and information management;
- Contribute to the preparation of various written documents and information communications products, e.g. background papers, correspondence and presentations, Situation Reports etc. This includes proposing topics, undertaking research, writing drafts, obtaining clearances, finalizing texts and ensuring distribution to agreed target audiences;
- Assist in the organization of meetings, workshops and other coordination and advocacy events;
- Attend and prepare detailed minutes and reports on meetings of relevance;
- Monitor email communications with the interagency support team and prioritize issues for response
- Recommend potential solutions to internal and external client needs and reports back in a timely, succinct and appropriate fashion;

Eligibilities
Qualifications/Requirements Required degree level: Bachelor degree or equivalent Education – Additional Comments:
Bachelor in Mass Communication, Media, Development studies, Physical Sciences, Social Sciences or related fields
Required experience: 24 Months Experience remark:
- 01- 03 years of experiences required in relevant development field, especially in coordination, communications, research, documentations and information management
- Experience working with a UN agency will be added value
- Excellent level of English language writing and editing skill (ability to write well for international audience)
- Strong communications skills in English and Bangla.
- Very high level of flexibility and adaptability
- Good planning skills demonstrated through good time management, capacity to plan, and deliver tasks on time
- Willingness to participate in all aspects of UNRCO activities;
- Strong computer skills, particularly of MS Word, and e-mail applications
