Job Responsibilities:
- Implementation of programme strategies in the theme of Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management.
- Management of the CO thematic programme.
- Creation of strategic partnerships and implementation of the resource mobilization strategy.
- Provision of top-quality policy advice services to the Government and facilitation of knowledge building and management

Eligibilities
Job Requirements:
- Advanced university degree (Master’s Degree or equivalent) in Natural Resources Management, Environmental Management, Political Sciences, Social Sciences, Economics, or related field is required.
- First-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- Minimum 2 years (with master’s degree) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience at the national or international level in providing management and substantive advisory services, hands-on experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of development projects in the fields of Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management.
- Knowledge of current issues and trends in DRR including the international architecture and financing mechanisms.
- Knowledge of current issues and trends in climate change, including the international architecture and financing mechanisms.
- Experience working with national or international development organisations will be added advantage.
- Experience in crisis prevention, environment or disaster management at the national or international level,Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems and social knowledge networks.
- Fluency in English is required.
