Tetra Tech is hiring Communications and Cross-Cutting Manager – Bangladesh 2022 in Dhaka.
Position responsibilities:
- Implement the BADGE project’s Communication Strategy and ensure compliance with the Branding Strategy and Marking Plan
- Write, edit, or produce communication products related to project activities and energy sector reform based on inputs provided by the technical team including talking points, presentations, success stories, social media content, data visualizations and infographics, videos etc., following USAID graphic standards and project branding and marking requirements
- Coordinate the preparation of quarterly and annual progress reports and perform substantive editing and quality control of all technical reports, external deliverables and work products prepared on the e with project
- Respond to incoming requests for information, talking points, messaging, etc. from project staff, USAID, and counterparts
- Provide communication support at events including preparation of press releases, announcements, social media posts and organizing photography and videography activities as required
- Disseminate and promote the project’s findings, deliverables, accomplishments, learning opportunities through USAID approved communications channels to increase the accessibility and utilization of project information
- Supervise staff in the cross-cutting areas of monitoring, evaluation, and learning; gender equity; youth integration and environmental compliance to assist with the integration of these themes into the planned technical activities
Line management responsibility:
- Reporting to COP and supervising the Administrative Officer; Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Specialist; and Youth, Gender, and Social Inclusion Specialist
Position and job summary:
Tetra Tech is seeking a Communications and Cross-Cutting Activities Manager for USAID’s Bangladesh Advancing Development and Growth through Energy (BADGE) project. The project improves energy security and resilience in Bangladesh by providing access to affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy systems, and promoting transparent and efficient energy markets. The activity will advance private sector investment, promote policy and regulatory environments favorable to the sector and investors, support entrepreneurs developing and distributing energy technologies, and convene platforms to share best practices in the management of the energy sector. Through June 2026, the BADGE project will support Bangladesh’s transformation to a developed, decarbonized, and inclusive energy sector. This position is full-time, and hiring is contingent upon USAID approval. Interested candidates must be eligible to work in Bangladesh.

Eligibilities
Essential KSA’s required (experience, skills, education certification, etc.):
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or similar field
- At least 8 years of experience in a communications role and or technical writing, preferably working on a USAID-funded project
- Experience supervising staff
- Demonstrated ability to edit a range of technical documents such as reports, articles, presentations, blogs, social media posts
- Demonstrated experience developing written content and/or editing content under a deadline
- Demonstrated familiarity in driving consistency and unity across multiple content deliverables
- Fluency in English (reading, writing and presentation skills) with strong oral and written presentation skills
- Excellent multitasking, organization, and prioritizing skills to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and to identify and resolve problems
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication and listening skills to work well with people of different backgrounds, personalities, experiences, and levels of authority
- Proven ability to manage internal and external client expectations with high levels of professionalism and tactfulness
Valued but not required KSA’s:
- Master’s degree in communications, marketing field
- Demonstrated ability applying within a document the USAID required style guidelines as well as those from the AP or Chicago Manual of Style
- Familiarity with the cross-cutting areas: monitoring and evaluation, gender integration and environmental compliance
- Experience writing about energy issues
