Pathfinder is looking for MEL Director in Dhaka 2024.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of CGE’s MEL Plan, in accordance with the Pathfinder standards and practices.
  • Ensure that the MEL activities are conducted in a cost-effective, results-oriented manner.
  • Collaborate with partners to design and implement MEL-related activities and plans, as planned and when appropriate.
  • Develop/adapt tools for routine monitoring data collection and project data quality reviews; ensure that project data is accurately and fully compiled and properly stored.
  • Design/adapt the means for compiling project indicators and Pathfinder’s Global Indicators into Pathfinder’s DHIS2 system.
  • Develop and ensure timely submission of quarterly and annual monitoring reports.
  • Compile success stories for quarterly reporting and other documentation needs.
  • Lead discussions on progress made by project achievements on attaining project targets, with effective use of monitoring data; work with project staff to document the factors behind gaps and over-achievements.
  • Institute regular use of performance monitoring data among project managers and other relevant Pathfinder staff to ensure knowledge transfer and learning.
  • Coordinate with Pathfinder partners charged with formative and other research activities.
  • Lend support to the implementation of the project’s baseline and endline surveys, as relevant, and coordinate internal and external research studies.
  • Disseminate findings from surveys and research studies through written reports, conference presentations, and publications.
  • Develop a strategy and processes for creating a robust knowledge management practice on behalf of the project.
  • Oversee the production of final project report that highlights overall achievements, lessons learned, success stories, and best practices.
  • Provide technical assistance and/or support to project teams, partner organizations, and national or community level MEL systems, as necessary.
  • Provide support to the technical team in developing technical documents, briefs, and abstracts for the conferences and other events.

Eligibilities

Job Requirements:

  • A Master’s degree in sociology, biostatistics, statistics, public health, or a related area. Candidates with significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a master’s degree.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in leading, designing, and implementing MEL activities for international development programs, preferably for USAID projects and/or those in the GBV prevention, mitigation, and response sector.
  • Experience in evaluating the gender effects of programmatic interventions and in developing gender-transformative instruments and protocols.
  • Previous experience working in Bangladesh.
