Norwegian Refugee Council is Looking for a Logistics Officer 2025 in Cox’s Bazar.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement & Supply Chain Management:

  • Oversee all procurement activities at the area office and other field locations.
  • Ensure compliance with NRC & donor procurement policies.
  • Assist departments in procurement planning and execution.
  • Verify invoices, process payments, and maintain payment records.
  • Conduct market assessments and develop a supplier database.
  • Support tender evaluations, ensuring transparency and compliance.
  • Maintain and update the procurement tracking sheet.

  2. Fleet & Generator Management:

  • Implement NRC’s fleet management policies.
  • Schedule and ensure timely vehicle maintenance.
  • Maintain fleet documentation (licenses, logbooks, fuel records, insurance, etc.).
  • Prepare weekly fleet movement plans and coordinate emergency travel support.
  • Conduct monthly fleet/generator usage reports and suggest cost-saving measures.
  • Oversee fuel consumption and repair/maintenance costs.

  3. Warehouse & Inventory Management:

  • Implement NRC’s warehouse management policies.
  • Ensure accurate documentation (GRNs, waybills, stock release forms, etc.).
  • Oversee goods reception, storage, and dispatch.
  • Conduct mid-year and annual inventory audits.
  • Prepare and submit warehouse reports (stock reports, damaged stock reports, etc.).
  • Conduct regular warehouse visits for compliance checks.

  4. Asset & Inventory Management:

  • Maintain and update asset registers with proper tagging and documentation.
  • Conduct physical asset verification as per NRC policies.
  • Advise staff on asset and equipment usage.
  • Report asset status updates to the asset focal point.

  5. Field Office Operations Support:

  • Support office maintenance, repairs, and stock management.
  • Act as Field Office focal point in the absence of the Field Office Coordinator.
  • Coordinate with team members and field staff for smooth logistics operations

Eligibilities

Job Requirements:

1. Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent. Any additional Degree/course in Supply Chain management is preferrable.

2. Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working as a Logistician in a humanitarian/recovery context.
  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts;
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities;
  • Fluency in Bangla and English languages.
