Job Responsibilities:

A Research Associate is an integral supporting team member for Principals, Client engagement and SME/ Practice Leads on the execution of search engagements, leadership assessment, and human capital-related projects. The role will include but not be limited to the creation of research documents, industry sector analysis, PowerPoint/Word client proposals, and RFP/RFQ responses.

  • The Associate will on occasion / participate in client calls and meetings and provide materials including target company lists, comprehensive market maps, and potential candidate profiles.
  • Build a strategic pool of high-quality candidates, sourced by maximizing the use of the most appropriate resourcing tools.
  • A key responsibility will be managing communication with clients, coordinating schedules and feedback, and facilitating the assessment/recruitment process internally and with the client.
  • They will support the assessment of candidates for roles using competency-based interviews and other appropriate methods.
  • He/She will assist with drafting job descriptions, candidate reports, and other client deliverables.
  • They will assist in preparing weekly client updates, long list presentation materials, and wider knowledge sharing.
  • He/She will assist with business development activities and is encouraged to develop in-depth knowledge of given industry sectors and/or functional specialties. This includes gaining awareness of current news and issues, developing a perspective on competitive landscapes, understanding market influences, tracking appointments and sharing performance, updating the team on upcoming industry events, and explaining relevant trends.
  • Lead Generation and arranging subsequent client meetings are expected of the Associate through the building, maintaining, and continually developing a professional network.
  • They will identify competitors and target companies and provide a detailed market map for each research assignment.
  • He/She will create presentations and mapping of the highest quality and professionalism, in line with the company standards.
  • Manage candidates through to completion, meeting all KPI’s and quality objectives. Provide feedback and guidance, understanding Situations, Problems, Implications, and Needs (SPIN) to maximize the candidate engagement.
  • On an adhoc basis support the validation of educational qualifications of placed Executives, and, ensure reference checks are carried out in accordance with the client’s requirements.
  • The Associate is responsible for monitoring industry news and trends, analyzing business potential/leads, sector mapping, and building a sourcing target list.
  • Recommend, track and engage with candidates in the context of live engagements and market leaders In their respective fields that we should be monitoring and tracking.
  • At the beginning of each assignment, they will assist in the development of the client execution strategy, including constructing company target/benchmark lists, researching candidate profiles, and matching necessary competencies to executive experience, drawing from internal and external resources.
  • As assignments progress, they may perform additional research in support of client activities, and build a bank of knowledge on varying industries, companies, and executives.
  • He/she will assist with business development activities. This includes gaining awareness of current news and issues, developing a perspective on competitive landscapes, understanding market influences, tracking key appointments and financial performance, updating the team on upcoming industry events, and explaining relevant trends.
  • They will be expected to maintain robust notes and information in the firm’s internal database (Salesforce) and help to build and maintain the systems and processes of a growing business.
  • Creating presentations and mapping of the highest quality and professionalism, in line with the company standards.

Eligibilities

  • 2-3 years of work experience as a talent acquisition specialist or researcher and/or work experience in executive search and mapping.
  • Familiarity with social media, CV, databases, and professional networks.
  • Experience in using Linkedin talent solutions to proactively source candidates.
  • Attention to detail and outstanding writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent research skills.
  • Collaborate with research teams, industry stakeholders, and government agencies.
  • Interpreting research specifications and developing a work plan that satisfies requirements.
  • Anticipating research issues and promptly resolving them.
  • Analyze large sets of data and information, drawing relevant conclusions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent coding ability.
  • Strong statistical and mathematical aptitude.
  • Practical experience in database management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
