JTI is looking for VAT Specialist 2025 in Tongi, Gazipur
Job Responsibilities:
The job responsibilities for the VAT Specialist role at JTI include:
- VAT Compliance & Reporting
- Review VAT transactions to ensure compliance with VAT laws and regulations.
- Prepare and submit accurate monthly VAT returns.
- Maintain VAT Management Information System (MIS) and support VAT software improvements.
2.Tax & Financial Reconciliation
- Reconcile VAT transactions between SAP and VAT software.
- Ensure that all types of VAT-related stock records align with SAP data.
- Ensure proper recording of VAT in collaboration with the Finance Control Group and Accounts Payable team.
3. Liaison with VAT Authorities
- Prepare VAT-related communications for submission to the VAT authority.
- Compile and organize necessary documents for VAT assessments.
- Ensure timely and accurate VAT pre-payments, including VAT & Excise.
4. Process Improvement & Advisory
- Assist the Indirect Tax Manager with VAT-related projects and process improvements.
- Develop VAT awareness among internal teams to ensure compliance.
- Train and support vendors to achieve VAT compliance.

Eligibilities
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, preferably in Finance/Accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years of VAT-related experience, preferably in the tobacco industry.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of Tax Act and VAT Act.
- Knowledge of IFRS and VAT Statutory Records is a plus.
