IJM(International Justice Mission) is looking for National Consultant-Program Coordinator 2025 in Dhaka.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategy & Knowledge Development and Implementation
- Provide expertise to Bangladesh program design – including support for budget, structure and personnel build outs for projects; lead ongoing program management and support implementation.
- Conduct quarterly program reviews, mid-term reviews and other regular review meetings as needed to inform country leadership on the status of the program and drive quality decision making based on program analysis.
- Provide regular input, critical analysis and feedback to the leadership on strategic and tactical considerations covering all aspects of program implementation.
- Work with program leaders to develop and review appropriate strategies that enable cross- team collaboration and program success.
- Support program leaders in formulating & achieving annual project targets within scope of planned budgets.
- Support program leaders in onboarding partners, overseeing due diligence processes and ensuring co-creation of program deliverables through inclusive partnerships.
- Conduct structured, periodic reviews of program implementation and achievements of results.
- Create platforms for sharing program knowledge & data across offices, projects, partners and incorporate organizational learnings into Bangladesh programs.
- Support and manage matrix integration of IJM program strategy through shared planning to meet program goals.
Policies and Procedures
- Provide subject and situational knowledge to ensure that the Bangladesh program is delivered in compliance with IJM Global Program, FD6 norms of NGOAB and Program Management standards and policies.
- Develop and draft local program best practices and procedures as needed.
- Develop internal capacity on program reporting, data collection, data reconciliation & managing IJM data management systems.
- Ensure compliance & securing timely approval of NGOAB annual audit process as required by Govt. of Bangladesh.
Communication
- Liaise with program management teams across South Asia and with anti-trafficking offices across other regions, sharing knowledge, lessons learned, and troubleshooting program management issues.
- Liaise with relevant Government of Bangladesh entities at national, division and district level and with regulatory bodies for project approval, budgeting and reporting.
- Advise Bangladesh team of relevant learnings from IJM’s global programming in similar areas.
- Advise country leadership in setting and revising annual project targets.
- Manage all reporting (internal and external), including grant reporting in collaboration with the Regional Grants Team and Leadership.
- Represent Bangladesh Programs with relevant grantors and donors in meetings, engagements and emails.
- Ensure IJMs global program quality and standards are maintained and ensure program alignment and scaling of learnings and best practices through partnerships and external synergies as needed.
Research, Program Management and M&E
- Facilitate maintenance and use of internal and external data and research to benefit the program.
- In collaboration with Regional Financial Planning and Analysis Lead, support the Bangladesh team in developing activity-based annual budgets and reviewing actual and projected spending during the year.
- Support MERL specialists in analyzing program data and as needed with MERL projects.
- In collaboration with the Regional Grants team, support the drafting of grant proposals, restricted funding opportunities for justice system strengthening (JSS) and reporting for programming in Bangladesh.
- Catalyze and contribute to the development and sustainability of ethos, talent and competencies in program management, monitoring & evaluation, and data management in the Bangladesh office.
- Support, lead and facilitate program development, design and planning processes, and regular reviews to identify and effectively address potential gaps in the program plans or operational activities.
- Support the management of budget, resources, timelines, deliverables and processes and provide timely insights to the leadership team for decision making.
Documentation, Reporting & Data Management
- Provide periodic updates, activity reminders, program progress reports and analysis internally and externally as needed.
- Develop and analyse Bangladesh quarterly reports to SVP, Regional and Global teams.
- Consolidate, organize and update Bangladesh data, as needed.
- Ensure compliance & securing timely approval of NGOAB annual audit process as required by Govt. of Bangladesh.

Eligibilities
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Master’s degree in international development, human rights, public policy, public administration, or related field preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in international development or related field; and 5 years’ experience in successful project and program management of complex development programs in Bangladesh, including grant acquisition and management.
- Previous experience in managing programs and projects for INGOs in Bangladesh in the justice sector is preferred.
- Experience of effective cross-cultural work, and across multiple time zones.
- A Program Management Certification preferred.
