Responsibilities :
- Developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors,
- Meeting with prospected vendors to assess their quality, inquire about their services, negotiate pricing & margins, and communicate any product or service-related concerns.
- Determine best practices around direct sourcing (farm to fork), contract farming and aggregators,
- Conducting research on available vendors to determine which vendors offer the best pricing and product quality.
- Continually monitoring sales trends to determine which products are more popular than others.
- Implementing vendor selection programs to ensure that the best vendors are secured.
- Establishing standards by which to assess the performance of approved vendors. Own KPIs like supplier rating, delivery lead time, fulfillment rate, quality etc
- Perform as functional bridge amongst external vendors as well as internal stakeholders.
- Ensure to track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance.
- Troubleshoot all vendor problems and present to management as required
- Participate to formulate workflow processes, methods, and policies for applying vendors.
- Support to explore expansion across new business lines

Eligibilities
- Successfully completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, data, or business-related fields,
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in managing perishables suppliers in a fmcg, supermart or hyper local, online set up
- Knowledge of best-in-class practices for forecasting and demand management
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
- High analytical and knowledge of SQL preferred but not mandatory
- Expected to make field visits 70% of the time
