Foodpanda is hiring Head of Public Affairs & Public Relations 2023 in Dhaka
Job Responsibilities:
- Head Public Affairs and Corporate Communications team to advocate for the organization’s interests and promote effective communication with government officials and policymakers.
- Provide support in formulating a corporate affairs & reputation management strategy and in identifying key stakeholders.
- Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments that impact the organization’s operations and assessing their potential impact. Providing recommendations to internal stakeholders on emerging issues and potential risks or opportunities.
- Be on top of legislative trends, government initiatives, and political landscapes to inform the organization’s advocacy efforts.
- Work with the regional team on the implementation of key internal and external public affairs projects.
- Ensure implementation of corporate affairs strategy, guidelines, and processes.
- Engage with key regulators, officials, representatives and, where relevant, local, international or foreign governments.
- Develop public policy strategies and positions, including the creation of materials supporting advocacy on those positions in collaboration with the regional and/or global team.
- Proactively shape the regulatory and political landscape to support innovation in the digital technology, transport, payments, and e-commerce landscapes, working together with a wide range of stakeholders.

Eligibilities
Job Requirements:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 10+ years of experience with the majority of government, government affairs, public policy or stakeholder relations, ideally with a focus on e-commerce.
- Experience leading policy teams and initiatives at scale in a large organization.
- Capability to build and maintain excellent relationships with high-ranking governmental authorities, community, or industry influencers and other third parties who may have significant influence on public policies.
- Proven ability to work independently, lead without authority, and the skills necessary to thrive in a technology start-up world with ambiguity and a rapidly changing landscape.
- Ability to understand the business model, the company strategy and legal/regulatory challenges and ensure KPIs are – aligned to this strategy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills; self-motivated, with strong analytical thinking.
- Ability to function effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
