Foodpanda is hiring Director- New Verticals 2023 in Dhaka
Job Responsibilities:
- Ownership of P&L for a new business: drive top line revenues while optimizing bottom line expenses
- Recruit, on-board and coach a high-performing team to achieve ambitious targets
- Plan and manage a successful launch, ensuring all aspects of the launch are well executed
- Drive the Commercial team to actively reach out to key suppliers, negotiate great deals and maintain a strong, ongoing relationship
- Drive the Operational team to ensure speed, efficiency and scalability of Ops processes
- Balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Keep a close eye on commercial, operational and financial KPIs; step in when certain metrics need improvement
- Liaise closely with regional teams and with other countries to understand best practices and tailor it to local needs
Foodpanda is an online food and grocery delivery platform owned by Berlin-based Delivery Hero. Foodpanda operates as the lead brand for Delivery Hero in Asia, with its headquarters in Singapore.

Eligibilities
- Prior experience in starting a business from scratch and managing a P&L is a strong asset
- General Management experience – understanding the basics of all functions, especially operations and commercials
- Very high level of ownership and entrepreneurial drive
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment
- Stakeholder Management – work with local & regional leadership to align on priorities and highlight bottlenecks
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Outstanding communication and people skills
- Prior experience in FMCG/Groceries not a must, but highly preferred
Experience: 12 to 15 years
