Daraz is looking for Category Lead 2022 in Dhaka
Responsibilities:
• Own the category, own the performance of the category across all Daraz Channels, and build the business as if it were your own. Together with the team, guide sellers and brands to maximize their potential on the platform and ensure a best-in-class customer experience
• Establishing strong partnerships with top local and international brands and retailers to develop their presence and growth in Daraz Bangladesh, as part of overall category growth
• Plan and launch campaigns, working closely with cross-functional teams like platform and marketing, etc.
• Development and execution of Category Strategy: Providing and leading market and category analysis in defining opportunities and gaps in business performance, and to spear growth of product assortment and the execution of strategy for the category in Daraz Bangladesh.
• Identify assortment gaps, development of online merchandising and promotion plans to achieve sales targets, ensuring pricing competitiveness, assortment, and the stock availability of key merchants in the category.
• Monitor & evaluate key category growth performance indicators
• Understanding of category offline trends and identifying commercial opportunities.
• Working closely and providing strategy and guidance to the Business Development / Vendor Acquisition team.
• Assist with the acquisition of new brands, the establishment of relationships, and driving high-level negotiations with leading industry brands.
• Project Management and Internal collaboration
• Manage and monitor the successful execution of ad-hoc regional strategic projects
• Cross-functional team collaborations on necessary systems and processes to support category needs and deliver efficiency.

Eligibilities
Requirements:
• Business Graduate from any reputed University.
• Minimum 4 years of work experience in e-commerce/retail, ideally in the industry
• Strong analytical acumen and ability to generate and evaluate analysis, identify opportunities and gaps – form actionable insights and recommendations
• Entrepreneurial, driven, and self-motivated attitude to quickly dive deep into content to determine root causes of problems and implement scalable solutions
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and efficiently
• A proven track record of successful negotiations and relationship management (both internally and externally)
• Excellent organizational communication skills
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
