CARE Bangladesh is hiring Inclusion Coordinator 2021 in Cox’s Bazar.
The Inclusion Coordinator will ensure that the considerations of persons with disability, girls, young women and marginalized groups are mainstreamed throughout program activities. S/he is responsible to ensure an efficient and effective inclusion system for the MIDD project. S/he is will be responsible to develop the inclusion plan in line with the donor guideline. S/he will directly be accountable and charged to for all inclusion related activities including the necessary tools and results/ performance in relation to the targets.
Responsibilities
- Planning, implementation and technical support
- Oversee the inclusion-oriented plans, indicators and targets are met, resources are developed and learnings are captured.
- Strengthen the capacity of staff to provide technical support on mainstreaming of inclusive approaches specially disability in humanitarian action to partner organizations.
- Design and conduct gender and inclusion analysis to identify opportunities and constraints for social inclusion, gender equality, inclusion and mainstream of persons with disability, and additional research focusing on inclusion issues as needed.
- Develop, implement, and monitor an inclusion integration strategy to ensure inclusion of diverse excluded group like persons with disability, women, girls, trans-gender, ethnic minority group, youth so that they benefit equitably from the program.
- In close collaboration with the program team, craft opportunities for meaningful inclusion of diverse excluded group in training design, facilitation, participation, and evaluation. Oversee accountability mechanisms for meaningful inclusion across program component areas.
- Coordinate with program communications team to create outcome-focused materials by and for excluded group to publicize results and amplify the voice of girls, women, and marginalized youth
- Train program staff on inclusion best practices, do no more harm principles, safeguarding and prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) of underage and vulnerable participants, as needed.
- Identify persons with disabilities and include them in various service provision. Provide technical support to adapt targeting tools to make it disability inclusive. Review training modules and tools to make it inclusive.
- Represent CARE Bangladesh in external meetings and push forward the agenda of inclusion in humanitarian action.
- Adhere to and support CARE Bangladesh’s Safety and Security policy and systems
- As part of this role, the job holder will be expected to adhere to and support CARE Bangladesh’s Safety and Security policy and systems as part of their day to day duties, and comply, at all times, to safety & security protocols and directives, including reporting. Eligibilities
- At least 6 to 7 years’ experience in the relevant field experiences on similar activities.
- Masters in Social Sciences, Economics or equivalent with combination of qualifications and practical experience in relevant field.
- At least five (5) years of experience working on gender and/or social inclusion programs in Bangladesh.
- Experience working with USAID-funded programs strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, facilitation and conceptual skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and cooperate effectively with a large and multicultural team
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Strong commitment to accountability, social justice, promoting inclusion and gender awareness and equality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Computer proficiency in MS words, MS-Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint.
