BRAC is looking for Associate Director, Skills Development Programme 2025 in Dhaka.

Job Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute SDP’s strategy, aligning with BRAC’s goals.
  • Scale successful skills training models in key sectors (manufacturing, IT, agriculture, hospitality) and collaborate with the Migration unit for overseas employment.
  • Drive fund mobilization, strengthen donor relations, and oversee donor-funded project implementation.
  • Build partnerships with government, private sector, and civil society to enhance the skills ecosystem.
  • Represent BRAC in national and international forums on skills policy and large-scale development.
  • Ensure staff alignment with strategy, uphold BRAC values, and implement safeguarding practices.
  • Lead the BRAC Career Hub, expanding career development, employment, and industry partnerships.
  • Drive national employment and entrepreneurship initiatives, creating job and business opportunities for youth.
  • Build team capacity for expansion, diversification, and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Ensure high-quality training delivery and effective post-training support.
  • Lead development of cost-recovery models and oversee implementation.
  • Develop Decent Work and Social Inclusion strategies for local and overseas markets.
  • Ensure cost-effectiveness and coordinate with internal BRAC departments for smooth operations.
  • Support emergency response interventions as needed.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Implement and promote safeguarding policies across the program, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Enforce safeguarding standards and encourage reporting of incidents.

Eligibilities

Job Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of skills development, youth empowerment, gender equality, and international development, with experience in research, evaluation, and NGO management.
  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing development programs with financial accountability and effective advocacy.
  • Deep understanding of development challenges in Bangladesh, applying global best practices with cultural sensitivity.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bangla, with the ability to build partnerships and collaborate across teams.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, ensuring ethical practices and impactful, results-driven solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Technical Education, or related field.
  • 10–15 years of experience, including 8 years in a leadership role focused on skills development and employment initiatives.
  • Strong skills in strategic planning, fund management, project execution, and donor liaison.
  • Proven experience coordinating with national and international organizations and government entities for large-scale impact.
