Brac is hiring Deputy Manager, Response; Disaster Risk Management Programme 2022 in Dhaka, Bangladesh .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Support to Disaster Risk Management Programme (DRMP) team in developing Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP)
• Ensure implementation of disaster risk reduction, preparedness, emergency response, and recovery activities timely and effectively
• Raise community awareness of disaster risk reduction and preparedness issues through organising events and delivering special projects
• Assist for developing and/or updating contingency plans, implementation guidelines, etc
• Support capacity building team in designing and facilitating different capacity building activities
• Coordinate with District Disaster Management Team (DDMT) and Upazila Disaster Management Team (UDMT) to respond to emergency by maintaining quality and accountability and ensuring donors and BRAC compliance
• Work closely with other programmes/departments and DDMT and UDMT for designing, implementation and monitoring emergency and recovery projects
• Develop and maintain strong relationship with field level emergency responses actors within the organisation
• Work with Procurement, Finance and HR departments to facilitate timely delivery of project inputs
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Eligibilities
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Masters in any discipline preferably in Disaster Management/ Geography/ Social Science or relevant subject from any recognised university/ institution
ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Sound knowledge of disaster management programme cycle
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels
• Good management capability and analysing capacity
• Excellent logical approach and the ability to be creative in a high-pressure situation skills
• Excellent flexible attitude, with the ability to manage a range of tasks at the same time skills
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
•Minimum 02 years of relevant work experience is required
