Job Responsibilities:
Technology & Strategy
- Develop and implement a strategic digital roadmap aligned with the business strategy to drive growth and achieve objectives.
- Identify and prioritize both immediate wins and long-term improvement opportunities by analysing user journeys and assessing the platform’s capabilities.
- Determine the potential impact of technology on business goals by collaborating with stakeholders, documenting requirements, conducting feasibility analysis, and preparing business cases with a focus on consumer usability.
- Demonstrate expertise in marketing across various channels, including traditional routes to market, B2C, B2B, and D2C digital channels. Understand the technical aspects, market dynamics, and customer considerations, while applying traditional marketing disciplines like SEO, customer segmentation, paid search, social media, email marketing, and website optimization.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuously explore new technologies to bring value to the organization. Provide thought leadership and insights for adopting relevant technologies.
- Advocate for a data-driven approach to decision-making and propel the business forward by leveraging social listening, web and campaign tracking, competitive monitoring, and gaining deep insights into consumer behaviour. Utilize this information to precisely target core consumers in the right context.
Partner Management
- Devise strategic partnerships with suitable technology suppliers and experts to drive business performance.
- Create a comprehensive portfolio of partners possessing the essential capabilities to effectively deliver the marketing portfolio while ensuring compliance with BAT’s global and local security standards.
Budget Management
- Plan, track and report on digital marketing budget aligned with current planning and reporting structure
Stakeholder Engagement
- Active engagement with business stakeholder to proactively optimize business pain points and enable growth with business opportunities
- Effectively communicate status of the digital portfolio for top teams (i.e., Marketing and IT).
- Assume leadership accountability for the successful delivery of the functional portfolio, ensuring the achievement of goals, adherence to schedule, cost management, resource allocation, quality standards, and alignment with global structures..
People, Project & Process Management
- Transform the organization into a data-driven entity, effectively propelling business growth via pathbreaking recommendation leveraging social listening, web and campaign tracking, competitive monitoring, deep insights, and foresights into consumer behaviour.
- Drive projects and teams to make sure they stay productive by resolving project issues

Eligibilities
- Strong interest digital & technology capabilities, with product management experience and understanding of business-facing IT
- Able to demonstrate a blend of strategic thinking and vision with a track record of delivering complex technology projects and programmes through others, adding measurable business value.
- Experience in working with multiple technology partners to drive delivery through an in-house and 3rd party ecosystem
- Strong understanding of key marketing digital principles: consumer centric and journey, user experience, micro conversions, target audience, and media planning.
- Possessing excellent business awareness and an appreciation of internal and external business drivers.
- Experience in implementing agile practices, design thinking and DevOps, including creating capability and mindset in their teams and with senior stakeholders.
- Strong articulation & communication skills – able to adapt message to the audience and to articulate complex issues into simple and easily assimilated strategies and deliverables.
- High EQ, resilient, task-focused, pragmatic individual with a tenacious approach to all facets of the role.
- A bold decision-maker who takes early decisions, uses data and rigour where necessary but good instinct is vital, too.
- Possess confidence, strong experience, and knowledge to continuously push the bar with stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Experience of operating in a digitally mature, global and forward-thinking business.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or IT discipline
- Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
