World Health Organization is hiring National Consultant-NCD 2022 in Bangladesh

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance to the Government counterpart and other relevant stakeholders to
• Generate evidence in the areas of noncommunicable diseases and mental health.
• Adopt and implement the WHO Comprehensive Mental Health Action Plan and evidence-based policies to promote mental health.
• Expand mhGAP implementation to ensure care for mental disorders through primary care approach, strengthen Mental Health and Psychosocial support in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Adopt evidence-based policies, implement multisectoral action plans and policies to prevent and control noncommunicable diseases, promote healthy settings, address social determinants of health.
• Scale up WHO PEN interventions in districts.
• Adopt and implement policies and action plans to prevent and manage injuries, including drowning, promote road safety initiatives, improve post-crash response.
• Strengthen services for disabilities and gender-based violence.
• Adopt and implement the Prevention and Response to Sexual Exploitation Abuse and Harassment (PRSEAH) policy and procedures.
• Strengthen monitoring, supervision and data management relating to NCDs and mental health.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned, including backstopping
