SANEM announces to host the International Web-Conference on “Covid-19 and the Development Challenges” on October 1-3, 2020, every day 5 pm – 9 pm Bangladesh Standard Time (GMT+6). The conference will be hosted live on the video-conferencing app Zoom.
Hereby, SANEM announces its competitive call for papers and participation for this Web-Conference.
Call for Paper Submission:
Paper Themes:
SANEM calls for papers on the following broad themes:
• Macroeconomic challenges
• International trade
• Public health and healthcare services
• Education
• Labour market, employment, remittances, and migration
• Poverty, inequality and social protection
The papers must relate the impact of the pandemic on one (or more) broad topics listed above. However, this list is not exhaustive. The papers can be empirical or theoretical and can be based on any specific country, or cross-country experiences. The paper should be submitted following the format provided below. Any reproduction/extension of the previous study is eligible for submission. However, in the case of pre-published papers, the consent of the publishers should be provided. All the interested participants are requested to submit their extended abstract within the stipulated deadline.
Important Dates:
• Last date for extended abstract submission: 25 August 2020
• Notification of selected abstracts: 30 August 2020
• First draft submission: 25 September
• Power-point presentation submission: 27 September 2020
• Conference: 1-3 October 2020
The Format of the Extended Abstract:
The abstract should be an extended one that will include the objectives and the research questions, a brief description of the methodology, and an outline of the paper. The abstract should be in Calibri font, 12-point font size with single spacing, and must not exceed 4 pages.
