Could you inspire and educate a live audience about your work in science, technology, maths or engineering – in just three minutes?

FameLab is a global competition to find and support the world’s most talented new science communicators. Participants have three minutes to win over the judges and audience with a scientific talk that excels for its content, clarity and charisma.

Each year, the British Council runs national FameLab competitions in around 30 countries. The winners of the national competitions travel to Cheltenham Science Festival in the UK for the FameLab International Final in June.

FameLab is the world’s leading science communication competition. It is designed to inspire, motivate and develop scientists and engineers to actively engage with young minds in public communities and stakeholders. The British Council, in partnership with the Times Cheltenham Science Festival, has seen more than 9000 emerging scientists and engineers participate from over 30 countries since 2007.
