United Nations World Food Program is looking for Junior Consultant, Farmer Organization Readiness and Maturity Assessment 2024 in Dhaka.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct a thorough review of existing literature, tools, and frameworks related to ACs development, food market development and challenges, capacity assessment, and resilience building.
- Engage stakeholders, including ACs management, SHF, UN agencies, partners, government entities, community leaders, local authorities, and other relevant partners, to gather input and feedback on the design and overall management assessment process.
- Manage activities to implement FORMA include:
- Adjust FORMA quantitative and qualitative assessment tools to the objectives of the project and local context to ensure relevancy and effectiveness.
- Hire and train enumerators for data collection, ensuring broad representation and local understanding. The number will depend on how many AC will be assessed
- Collect and analyze data from the 62 ACs across 4 sub-districts (Ukhiya, Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar, Sadar and Ramu)
- Writing of FORMA report including findings and recommendations for the transition of ACs to ABSCs.
- Develop a monitoring and evaluation framework to track the progress and impact of the interventions on the ACs and the communities they serve.
- Organize a workshop with local partners to disseminate results and foster strategic partnerships.
Reporting And Communication
- Provide weekly progress updates to the team lead resilience Cox’s Bazar, head of programme, Cox’s Bazar, Head of Supply Chain Cox’s Bazar, Head of Area Office, Cox’s Bazar and Head of Programme, Dhaka
- Establish a steering committee or advisory group comprised of representatives from various stakeholder groups to provide oversight, guidance, and support throughout the assessment process.
- Submit a final report documenting the assessment, key findings, and recommendations to the Bangladesh CO.
Evaluation
- The effectiveness and impact of the FORMA Tool will be evaluated based on its uptake, usability, and contribution to strengthening farmer organizations, ACs and enhancing the resilience of communities in humanitarian settings.

Eligibilities
Job Requirements:
Education: University degree in Sociology, Social Development, Development Economics or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of relevant work experience and/or training/courses.
Experience: 1-2 years’ experience in humanitarian/development field.
Preferred: previous experience working with WFP/other UN agencies/implementing partners, conducting reviews, evaluations or monitoring exercises.
Languages: Fluency (level C) in English language and the duty station’s language, if different.
