Save the Children is looking for Education Sector Co Lead 2024 in Cox’s Bazar

Job Requirements:

  • orchestrate and enhance education interventions for Rohingya refugees
  • report directly to the Inter-Sector Coordination Group (ISCG)
  • collaborate closely with UNICEF
  • ensure a cohesive and impactful response to education needs
  • coordinating with a wide array of stakeholders
  • conducting thorough assessments
  • devising comprehensive sector plans
  • advocating tirelessly for education priorities
  • meticulously monitoring funding opportunities
  • play a crucial role in capacity building within the sector
  • assessing technical capacities of sector members and developing tailored capacity development plans to enhance the quality and standardization of the education response
  • foster collaborative and transparent relationships with a diverse range of partners, including national and international NGOs, government agencies, and donor representatives, to ensure alignment and synergy in our collective efforts
  • influence policy, shape strategy, and drive tangible impact, ultimately contributing to the holistic well-being and empowerment of Rohingya communities.

Eligibilities

Job Requirements: 

  •  Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in cluster/sector coordination, with a focus on emergency response.
  • Prior experience in first phase emergency response is essential.
  • Proven experience in high-level coordination and chairing of meetings.
  • Familiarity with applying INEE Minimum Standards and other relevant frameworks in education in emergencies.
  • Experience in assessing Education Sector partners’ capacities to develop and implement capacity-building plans for quality improvement.
  • Demonstrable understanding of international humanitarian response and coordination mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of opportunities for integrated or cross-cutting humanitarian interventions with other sectors and Clusters.
  • Understanding of initiatives like the World Humanitarian Summit Agenda and the Education Can Not Wait Multi-Year Fund Process.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, along with flexibility and cultural sensitivity, are essential for success in this role.
  • Post Graduation Degree, preferably in Education, Disaster Management, Social Sciences, or a relevant discipline.
