UN Career is looking for Finance and Administrative Associate, Bangladesh 2024 in Dhaka.
Job Responsibilities:
- With the Finance Officer, the Finance and Administrative Associate will fulfill regular reporting requirements for the accounting, logistical, and financial operations of the IRI Bangladesh office: managing the drafting and editing of relevant reporting and other financial documents including rolling budgets and monthly accounting reports.
- Support the Finance Officer to oversee all Bangladesh cash and bank transactions (i.e. cash and check payments, generate receipts, etc.), prepare cash disbursement vouchers for expenses, and ensure that all supporting documents are attached.
- With the Finance Officer, review, disburse and record all expenses in accounting software, including IRI employee advances from the Bangladesh office: work with employees to reconcile advances with the period required by IRI accounting policies.
- Support the Finance Officer to compile monthly rolling budgets and monitor daily expenditures, reconciliations, and bank accounts, and make necessary recommendations to ensure compliance with donor and IRI financial, procurement, and accounting requirements.
- Ensure all IRI property (i.e. documents, equipment, supplies, etc.) is securely maintained and that the office inventory list is reviewed and updated monthly.
- Work with senior program staff on NGO Affairs Bureau project approval and prepare necessary documents.
- Assist in preparation of IRI Bangladesh program partners’ (sub-awardees) contracts/agreements.
- Maintain HR related documents (staff contract documents; staff leave reports, holiday schedules, etc.).
- With the Finance Officer, oversee the procurement of both office and program-related goods and services in line with IRI and donor requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.

Eligibilities
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce/business administration (Masters preferred).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a professional finance and administrative role, ideally within an international organization receiving priority.
- Familiarity with local finance and accounting regulations.
- Fluency in English and Bangla.
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Sound knowledge in budgeting, accounting, procurement, inventory management, USAID VAT/TAX, and financial reporting.
- Good working relationships with colleagues and partners; communication skills; working in a team.
