The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is hiring Hygiene Promotion Assistant 2023 in Cox’s Bazar
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the Shelter & WASH /Emergency response programme.
- Support to Hygiene Promotion Officer(s), conduct sessions, verification, and data collection to identify cases for WASH assistance in refugee camps and host communities.
- Supervise distributions, participate in technical training to refugees and host communities.
- Provides direction, assigns tasks and gives instructions to daily workers (e.g. trainers) and evaluates individual performance.
- Monitor the progress of activities of assigned daily workers and ensure they are implemented to planning and quality standards.
- Take part in the mobilization of refugee and host communities for awareness campaigns and for conducting research using focus group discussions, interviews, and questionnaires.
- Conduct outreach activities within the camps and serve as a link between NRC programs and the local community, ensuring their input into shelter programme activities.
- Establish excellent relations with beneficiaries including understanding the needs of beneficiaries through regular visits and frequent contact.
- Perform any other task as assigned by WASH Project Officer, Coordinator or Shelter/WASH Project Manager.

Eligibilities
Job Requirements:
- 01 years of relevant working experience Cox’s Bazar camp context
- Bachelors/Diploma in development studies/Social science.
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Good knowledge of the refugee context in Bangladesh
- Excellent computer proficiency
- Oral proficiency in the Chittagonian dialect
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
