SNV is looking for Knowledge Management Intern 2023 in Khulna, Bangladesh

Intern’s  Responsibilities:

Scope of work

  • The Knowledge Management (KM) Intern is expected to work across all components of the programme with focus on component 2: Safe and affordable consumer services; and component 5: Improved treatment, disposal and re-use. Within consumer services, SNV has been working on upgrading of on-site facilities, service models for emptying and transport, public toilet facilities, slum sanitation and service options for vulnerable households. Over the past 9 years SNV successfully demonstrated/ piloted business model for the cities sanitation value chain, public toilets and vulnerable areas. In addition, under component 2, the programme successfully implemented occupational health and safety (OHS) of workers, inclusive services for all, gender equality etc. The KM Intern is expected to support Component 2 and 5 for developing and disseminating Knowledge product under the programme, and write and develop reports, data analysis, sharing documents and lessons from the programme, etc. Moreover, S/he is expected to maintain and ensure high quality products and services along with ensuring SNV branding policy. S/he will work closely with the Sector Leader-Water, Project Manager, Sanitation Business Advisor, Communication and Knowledge Management Advisor.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-level communications products to showcase the Programme best practices and learnings under component 2.
  • Identify creative and effective ways to generate and documents knowledge with a view to leverage good practices to improve programs.
  • Work closely with Sanitation Business Advisor and to develop products and learning materials which include diverse knowledge; evidence- based articles, resource guide.
  • Develop stories/narratives reports about best practices of the Programme.
  • Adhere to SNV’s knowledge deliverables and quality standards.
  • Develop all the communications, and materials with the GESI inclusion.

Deliverables

  • Work Plan that includes communications, materials and a time schedule based on the activities proposed in the plan.
  • At least 5 high-level communication products to show the best practices and learning of the Program under component 2.
  • Develop and share learning products and materials that include diverse knowledge; evidence-based articles, resource guide to be managed by the SNV team. Develop reports/narratives on the best practices of the Program.

Benefits

Duty station                    :   Khulna with One or two visit to project sites

Contract Duration           :  3 (three) months fixed term but can be extended depending on performance and availability of funds.

Expected Joining Date    :   as soon as possible.

Working Hours                :   Full time (minimum of 40 hours per week)

Salary                              :   Negotiable (Depends on skills & Experience)

Eligibilities

Intern’s  Requirement’s:

Minimum Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, communication or related field from a university.

Desired Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Minimum 1 year experience on communication or knowledge management. Freshers may apply having excellent academic background and strong interest to build career in communication or knowledge management in the development field.
  • Proven abilities in designing and developing communication and knowledge management products.
  • Strong abilities on writing in English and Bangla, transforming technical report to stories for a general audience and capture lessons for technical sharing purpose.
  • Ability to design communication materials and proficiency in necessary IT/design software (In-design, Photoshop, illustrator etc) for developing knowledge management product.
  • Ability to visualize complex situations, subjects and projects for different set of audience.
  • Creative, practical and systematic professional.
  • Evidence of producing knowledge products (publications and other).
