BRAC is hiring Lead, Programme Development and Knowledge Management, Ultra-Poor Graduation (UPG) Programme, BRAC International 2023 in Dhaka
Job Responsibilities:
- Design context specific Ultra-Poor Graduation programme and generate new ideas to develop an integrated programme to address broad livelihood development agenda in consultation with country team. This will require regular high-level analysis on poverty dynamics of different BI countries
- Provide technical support and suggest staff capacity development initiatives to country teams to ensure quality implementation of ongoing project activities as well as utilizing the knowledge management system.
- Contribute to the production and operationalization of project management tools, such as budget review, workplans, gantt charts, critical path analysis, resource allocation tools, and reporting formats. Ensure capacity building at the country and project level to develop and use modern project management tools effectively.
- Work with programme and monitoring teams to develop M&E framework, key performance indicators (KPIs), and learning objectives for each project; assist country team and/or GRP for timely and quality report submission to donors and other internal stakeholders.
- Conduct periodic filed visits and meetings with country teams to check quality of implementation as per standards; ensure that mechanisms are in place to measure and improve quality of programmes performance.
- Design and implement a knowledge management system and database and be responsible for overall management of the system (Catalogue, tag and archive documented knowledge, ensure its easy access and safe storage, map target audience and channels for dissemination)
- Identify and launch specific knowledge products and lead content development such as articles, blog posts, and case studies for internal and external use to support strategic directions as well as map its target audiences.
- Work collaboratively with wider GRP team and affiliates to help identify and plan strategies to position BI UPG programme with potential partners and donors, assist on reporting or changing donor requirements in coordination with relevant programmes/units.
- Proactively seek new funding opportunities from both public and private sector, engage in donor relationship management and manage grants related activities including writing/editing concept notes, pitches and other donor-facing products on behalf of BI UPG programme.

Eligibilities
- Sound conceptual knowledge on international development and NGO management.
- Understanding on key development issues in the context of extreme poverty in Africa and Asia.
- Knowledge of the requirements of major institutional donors including budgeting, eligibility issues, compliance management, and reporting; experience of engaging with donors at a strategic level.
- Demonstrated ability in developing and executing knowledge management strategies in complex organizational settings. Ability to explain complex concepts in layperson’s language, communicate with impact, and generate enthusiasm at all levels of the organization.
- Possess basic understanding of program operations including field realities.
- Possess understanding of the full grant cycle including proposal development phase.
- Understanding of the financial aspects of grant management, ability to work with Finance Departments on grant management.
- Show courage and confidence to have tough conversations with other CO teams, donors and Affiliates.
- Show high skills in coordination and negotiation.
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and ability to analyze trends.
- Ability to work effectively with a dynamic, multicultural and diverse team spread across different time zones.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum 7 years of working experience in relevant field, preferably demonstrable experience of working with livelihood programme design, knowledge management and demonstrated experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders and multicultural staff.
