Optimizely is looking for Accountant 2023 in Dhaka
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurate accounting for Cloud Costs within Direct Cost of Goods Sold
- Work with FP&A Finance Business Partner on monthly accruals and prepayments for Cloud Costs
- Gain understanding of costs relating to specific products across the portfolio and ensure coding to correct GL codes and Departments
- Work with Commercial Finance team to develop policy / process for ensuring direct costs are aligned with revenue recognition on products
- Identify opportunities to automate / improve the allocation of costs from suppliers to specific products
- Reconciliation of Balance sheet items
- Perform Month end accruals
- Month-end Prepayment review (Prepayments posted by AP)
- Accurate, complete and timely month-end actuals for the Group and by entity
- Support the Entity Financial Controllers for Entity based queries, and preparation of financial analysis
- Support the Entity Financial Controllers for Entity audit and audit queries
- Develop process efficiencies aligned to Group Policy
- Single Accounting treatments globally, with minimal exceptions led by local GAAP requirements
- Review live PO (following Oro implementation: PO receipting, PO closing, Open PO monitoring etc.)
- Following Policies and Procedures, Establishing Relationships and delivering high quality work.

Eligibilities
Knowledge and Experience:
- Must be a fully qualified accountant with a reputed professional body
- Previous knowledge of cost accounting is preferable.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience
- Possess strong business acumen and passion to drive and add value
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Crystal clear knowledge on costing, inventory valuation and revenue recognition.
- Strong knowledge on IFRS/GAAP
- Proficient in excel
- Ability to analyze costs
- The working hours will be Monday to Friday. 2pm – 10pm in alignment with the international entities. The candidate should be willing to work odd hours as and when needed.
Education:
- University degree in Finance or Accounting
