United Nations is hiring Research Officer 2023 in Dhaka
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive project assignments from RI, understand research protocol, project scope, methodology, and timelines
- Develop and maintain good relationships and coordination with hospital/clinic personnel, UNICEF officials, patient caregivers/mother, and other stakeholders
- Arrange and conduct interviews and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) independently with patient caregivers/mother, hospital/clinic personnel and other stakeholders
- Transcription of audio-recorded interview/FGD
- Read transcripts to identify data gaps and modify interview/FGD guidelines
- Analyze data using qualitative data analysis software
- Perform project administration/management activities
- Assist in writing report and scientific manuscript
- Frequent visits to the study hospitals/clinics, with overnight stays for data collection.

Eligibilities
- Master’s in Anthropology/Sociology with good academic records;
- 3 years of relevant experience in public health and qualitative research;
- Potential female candidates will be given preference;
- Must be willing to travel extensively to different hospitals/clinics/villages in the study areas (within and outside of Dhaka);
- Candidates with prior experience in scientific writing will be given preference.
