World Health Organization is looking for National Professional Officer (Programme Management) 2022 in Dhaka
Key Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervisionof the Technical Officer Planning and Monitoring and Evaluation and overall supervisionof the Deputy Head of WHO Country Office, the incumbent will:
- Provide support in planning and developing work plans in accordance with the Country Cooperation Strategy and the Organization’s as well as national health policies and procedures.
- Monitor the implementation of GOB/WHO collaborative programme activities (including the ongoing collaborative project with various donors). This includes collection and analysis of data on implementation status from WHO Global System Management (GSM).
- Facilitate programme implementation by ensuring timely workplan funding, award creation and distribution, budgeting of activity and HR workplans of the GOB/WHO collaborative programme activities (including the ongoing collaborative project with various donors).
- Comply with the WHO policies on deadlines on and management of budgets.
- Provide support to close coordination with the MOH and its Directorates for smooth planning, implementation of and reporting on WHO collaborative project/programme activities (including the ongoing collaborative project with various donors).
- Work in close collaboration with WCO technical programmes and the Human Resource unit to provide support to formulation and management of activity and HR workplans.
- Coordinate with technical units and South-East Asia Regional Office (SEARO) to draft and obtain clearance for financial management reports and requests for certified financial statements.
- Work in close coordination with concerned units in SEARO, especially Programme Planning and Coordination (PPC) and Partnership Interagency coordination and Resource mobilization (PIR) on matters related to WCO Bangladesh programme budget formulation, implementation, monitoring and reporting issues (including the ongoing collaborative project with various donors).
- Assist TO Planning and M&E, Deputy Head of WHO Country Office and WHO Representative in all matters related to General Programme of Work (GPW), programme budget and WHO Governing Body meetings.
- Performany other duties as assigned by TO Planning and Monitoring andEvaluation and the Deputy Head of WHO CountryOffice.

Eligibilities
Education
- Essential: University degree in healthpolicy/planning, science and social sciences (including social development andinternational relations) from a recognized/accredited institute.
- Desirable: Formal training in projectmanagementor master’s in public health or master’s in business administration
Experience
- Essential: A minimum ofone years’ experience in projectmanagement with experience in planning, grant management, budget, finance and/orrelated field, including sound understanding of resource mobilization.
- Desirable: Experience in: programme/workplan formulation andmonitoring, grant management, administration, in WHO or another UN agency
Skills
- Thorough knowledge of programme planning and management; Administrative knowledge of the functioning of ministries and related departments Demonstrated ability to work in harmony with national/international staff Excellent writing skills including ability to present technical information Ability to produce results, conceptualize issues, analyse qualitative and quantitative data, and to write coherent and concise briefing documentsDesirable:Good knowledge ofWHO/UN administrative and financial rules, processes and procedures
