Deichmann is looking for Social Compliance Officer 2022 in Dhaka
Job Responsibilities:
- Auditing:
- Supporting and preparing our suppliers for social and environmental audits (e.g. Amfori BSCI, LWG)
- Creating and following up corrective action plans
- Communicating with 3rd party audit companies to arrange and book Amfori BSCI and LWG Audits
- Driving improvements in audit results at our suppliers
- Capacity Building / Training:
- Conducting trainings with our suppliers and their workforce regarding human-, environmental rights and grievance mechanisms
- Developing training programs and materials for social and environmental topics
- Supporting the implementation of a grievance mechanism in India and Bangladesh
- Travel
- Travel regularly to our business partners in India and Bangladesh to monitor their compliance performance
- Communicate closely with suppliers, local stakeholders and head offices in Germany and Hong Kong regarding social compliance and sustainability topics
- Issuing reports for our head offices in Germany and Hong Kong
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required

Eligibilities
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of social compliance and / or sustainability
- Excellent knowledge of auditing, health and safety, labor and environment regulations, social compliance management systems and grievance mechanisms
- Experience with Amfori BSCI and LWG are desirable
- Excellent knowledge in conducting trainings and capacity building methods in factories
- Experience in the manufacturing of shoes or apparels
- Very good communication, time management and project management skills
- Very good documentation and report writing skills
- Willingness and possibility to travel frequently
- Very good knowledge of English and Bangla or Hindi
- Hands on, open minded with a can-do mindset, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
