foodpanda is looking for Senior Manager, Government Relations 2022 in DHAKA
Job Responsibilities:
As the Senior Manager, Government Relations you will play a vital role in building the required management and operational team of foodpanda. - Oversee foodpanda Bangladesh’s government relations strategy objectives and represent foodpanda Bangladesh’s positions directly, in partnership with our colleagues, industry associations, and other industry organizations.
- Engage with key regulators, officials, representatives and, where relevant, local, international or foreign governments.
- Build up the Government Relations function over time as it evolves with business needs.
- Develop public policy strategies and positions, including the creation of materials supporting advocacy on those positions in collaboration with the regional and/or global team.
- Monitor, identify, assess, and address regulatory challenges to business objectives in key regulated industries as well as the public sector market in partnership with and public policy colleagues. This includes collaborating with business units to ensure alignment between business priorities and public policy activities and goals.
- Liaise with government agencies and secure government subsidies and funds.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for foodpanda Bangladesh to address government challenges and opportunities while also working with trade associations, industry partners, non-profit groups, and other allies to promote and build support for public policy positions.
- Proactively shape the regulatory and political landscape to support innovation in the digital technology, transport, payments, and e-commerce landscapes, working together with a wide-range of stakeholders.

Eligibilities
- Master or Bachelor degree in related field.
- 7+ years of experience with majority of government, government affairs, public policy or stakeholder relations, ideally with a focus on e-commerce.
- Experience leading policy teams and initiatives at scale in a large organization.
- Capability to build and maintain excellent relationships with high-ranking governmental authorities, research/academic institutions, community or industry influencers and other third parties who may have significant influence on public policies.
- Proven ability to work independently, lead without authority, and the skills necessary to thrive in a technology start-up world with ambiguity and a rapidly changing landscape.
- Strong project management skills to meet deadlines, establish clear priorities quickly and bring projects to completion on time and within budget.
- Ability to understand the business model, the company strategy and legal/regulatory challenges and ensure KPIs are – aligned to this strategy.
- Strong business acumen
- Excellent problem-solving skills; self-motivated, with strong analytical thinking.
- Ability to function effectively in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
