BRAC is hiring Counselor-Migration Programme (Contractual) 2022 in Bangladesh
JOB PURPOSE
The incumbent will provide counseling services to the migrants and migrants family members at the grass root level, at reintegration service centre and refer migrants for advance counseling. Besides, s/he will maintain electronic database of the returnee migrant workers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a counseling plan of Reintegration Service Centre as per the monthly target.
- Provide/ facilitate training for the Para-counselor as per plan.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly training and counseling report for Reintegration Service Centre (district level office).
- Develop a compilation report of all Reintegration Service Centres.
- Provide counseling to the returnee migrant workers and their family members.
- Refer migrant workers for trauma counseling and undertake case management related activities.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Strong knowledge on training facilitation and participant counseling
- Excellent communications and reporting skills
- Sound coordination and management skills
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Masters preferably in Psychology/ Social Welfare/ Social Work/ Sociology or any relevant subjects from any recognised university.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 01 year of work experience in counseling, training facilitation and orientation at community level of Bangladesh is preferred.
